Former shortstop who made the conversion to full-time pitcher prior to the 2002 season....After starting the 2002 season in the Tech bullpen, he finished the year as Tech’s No. 2 starter in the ACC Tournament, NCAA Regionals and College World Series....Set Tech career record allowing just 1.93 walks per nine innings over his two seasons on the mound.

2006: Signed by Boston Red Sox as a minor league free agent 1/25....released by Red Sox 3/1.

2005: Did not pitch.

2004: Assigned to Class A Burlington Bees of the Midwest League 4/18....earned his first win with his first complete game and shutout in game one of a doubleheader against Ft. Wayne 6/11 (7IP, 2H, 2BB, 3K)....picked up first professional save 8/17 vs. Clinton....overall, posted a 4–4 record with a 4.06 ERA in ten games at home while going 0–9 with a 7.85 ERA in 13 games on the road.

2003: Named Atlantic Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week 5/11 after going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 14.2 innings over two appearances (5.2 innings of relief vs. Georgia State 5/6; three-hit shutout at Virginia 5/10)....selected by Kansas City in the fifth round of the MLB First-Year Player Draft....signed professional contract 6/5....assigned to Arizona League Royals-1.

2002: Notched first collegiate pitching victory in relief (5.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 6 SO) vs. Winthrop 3/9....gained win in first start 3/24 vs. Gardner-Webb (7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO)....worked eight innings in Tech's 2-1 victory over Western Carolina 4/10....improved to 5-0 by beating Georgia in Athens 4/24 (7.1 IP, 1 R, 8 SO)....fired eight shutout innings against top-ranked Clemson 5/6....worked 6.1 scoreless innings while combining with Jeff Watchko on shutout of Georgia in NCAA Atlanta Regional 6/1....allowed just one unearned run in seven innings of work vs. Florida Atlantic in Super Regional clinching game 6/8....took loss in College World Series start vs. Clemson 6/16 at Omaha....Selected in 16th round of Major League draft by Florida Marlins....pitched for Yarmouth-Dennis of Cape Cod League during summer.

2001: Sat out sophomore season in accordance with Atlantic Coast Conference transfer rules....during summer, had stint playing second base for Northern Ohio of Great Lakes League before joining Front Royal of the Valley League as shortstop.

2000: Played in 40 games for N.C. State as a freshman, including 30 starts at shortstop....Struggled at the plate, batting just .132 with one home run and nine RBI in 91 at bats....Was second on the team with six sacrifice bunts.

High School: Starting shortstop for Lassiter's 1999 high school national championship team....Batted .287 with six home runs and 30 RBI to help lead Lassiter to a 35-2 record, the Georgia Class 4-A State Championship and a No. 1 ranking in the Baseball America/National High School Baseball Coaches Association final poll....Named Lassiter's defensive MVP for his glovework at shortstop....Batted .253 with three home runs as a junior....Starting shortstop in 1998 for the East Cobb Astros which won the AAU World Series....Batted .425 with 11 home runs, 84 RBI and 16 stolen bases to help the Astros to a 89-6 record.
