Matt Wieters, who entered the game to begin the ninth inning in relief of Lee Hyde, took the loss.
Starter Lee Hyde pitched a career-high eight innings and gave up just two runs on seven hits but was not involved in the no-decision.
The Jackets battled back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game in the eighth on Jeff Kindel's two-out RBI single in the eighth inning.
The game did not end until 12:34 a.m. due to a two-hour, 25-minute lightning and rain delay that halted the preceding Virginia-N.C.State.
The win earns Clemson a bye into Saturday's semifinal game while Georgia Tech will meet Miami on Fridayb night in an elimination game.
