Left team following junior season (2001) while planning to continue towards graduation at Tech. 2001: Originally slated to red-shirt but pressed into duty at third base following injury to Mark Teixeira....immediately went 3-for-4 in collegiate debut vs. Elon 2/23....hit safely in first five games as well as in nine of first ten contests....also collected three hits vs. Georgia State 4/4....hit .472 in Tech wins (17-for-36) and just .118 (2-for-17) in Tech losses....went 4-for-4 as pinch-hitter....named to the Dean's List for spring semester.
