Alaska Baseball League

  • LHP Conner Kendrick got the win after working to 13 batters in relief as the Bucs scored two runs in the bottom of the 12th to beat the Glacier Pilots 4-3 in Anchorage.  His line: (W,2-0) 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO, 1 HR.  The home run in the top of the 12th that Kendrick allowed was to Keenyn Walker, the first player selected by the Chicago White Sox in the June draft (47th player overall).  Immediately after the game, Walker tweeted that he had come to terms with Chicago.

Cape Cod Baseball League

  • 1B Jake Davies (.105) went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts.
  • RHP Buck Farmer had his start cut short due to fog.  Farmer carried a shutout into the fifth inning while allowing just two hits before the game was called.
  • 2B Mott Hyde (.162) was 1-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base.
  • DH Daniel Palka (.270) went 2-for-4 with a double.
  • RHP DeAndre Smelter faced seven batters in relief.  His line: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 SO.  Smelter walked Brandon Thomas but got Mott Hyde to ground out.
  • CF Brandon Thomas (.370) was 1-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases (6) and two strikeouts.
  • LF Kyle Wren (.368) went 2-for-3 with an RBI as well as his league-leading 11th stolen base.

  • LHP Devin Stanton picked up a save while facing four batters in relief.  His line: (S,1) 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 SO.

  • 3B Alex Cruz (.268) went 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
  • Zane Evans worked to seven batters in his first relief appearance of the summer.  His line: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 SO (26 pitches/18 strikes).
