Versatile player who enters his fourth season with Tech program....Was a shortstop in high school, but demonstrated ability to handle duties at third base, second base, and in the outfield as collegiate player.

2005: Started seven games at second base as a senior....named to the 49th annual Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll.

2004: Saw duty as a starter in right field following injury to Jeremy Slayden....activity over the second half of the season limited by his own elbow injury which led to "Tommy John" surgery during summer.

2003: Earned the starting role at third base with his steady bat....Appeared in 45 games, making 36 starts....Tech’s top hitter with runners on base (.390), and hit .353 with two outs....Ranked fifth on the team with five stolen bases....In his first game of the year against Georgia Southern (2/15), went 1-for-2 with three walks, two stolen bases, a run scored, and an RBI....Was 3-for-6 with four runs, four walks, three RBI, a double, and a stolen base vs. Maryland (3/21-3/23)....Went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored against Miami (3/29)....Had a career-high 3 RBI against Wake Forest (4/19), going 2-for-4 with two runs scored....Went 2-for-2 with a sacrifice fly, walk, and run against Virginia (5/9)....Scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th in the championship game of the ACC Tournament against NC State (5/25) after delivering a pinch-hit single earlier in the inning....Spent the summer with Delaware Cows of the Great Lakes League batting .240 in 35 games with six doubles and 11 RBI.

2002: Saw duty primarily as a third baseman....went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in first start 3/10 vs. Winthrop....drove in a pair of runs at N.C. State 3/30....appeared in College World Series victory vs. South Carolina 6/14.

High School: A three-year letterwinner for coach Joey Bell at Athens Drive High School....Named all-conference in 2000 and 2001....Helped lead his team to the CAP-8 league championship in 1999....Played for the Baseball America National Champions in the Perfect Game USA Wood Bat World Championship in Oct. 2000....Member of the Midland Redskins team that placed third at the Connie Mack World Series....Member of the National Honor Society and the Honor Roll.

Personal: Jacob Michael Hall....Born Dec. 25, 1982 in Garfield Heights, Ohio....Son of Mike and Laura Hall....Brother Brennan played baseball at Louisville and now works in front office of Class AA Southern League....Younger brother Mickey played baseball at Walton High School in Marietta and signed letter of intent to play at Tech before joining Boston Red Sox organization in July 2003....Father Mike played football and baseball at Davidson from 1972-76....Enjoys music and football....Majored in Management with a certificate in Information Technologies.....see Jake's personal web page.
